What to Wear to the Course on NFL Sundays

Greyson’s new NFL Collection gives football fans a better way to represent their team on the golf course.

Sunday tee times get a little more complicated this time of year. You want to play golf, but you don’t want to miss your team’s game. Whether you’re playing early enough to make it back in time for kickoff, or you’re listening to the game on the radio on the back nine, there is now a better way to represent your team on the course than wearing a football jersey over your polo.

Golf and lifestyle apparel brand Greyson has released its 2026 NFL Collection, bringing team logos and colors to the premium golf apparel the brand is known for. The collection includes polos, hoodies, quarter-zips and hats representing all 32 NFL teams, all designed to look right at home on the course.

When you search for your favorite team on Greyson’s NFL Collection website, you are greeted with a curated selection of items featuring the team’s logo and colors. But the selection isn’t the same for every team. Some teams get a polo, while others have a larger assortment of hoodies, quarter-zips and hats. There are even limited-edition shawl cardigans available for select teams. That makes each collection feel more considered than simply putting 32 different logos on the same pieces.

The Detroit Lions understandably get some extra attention. Greyson is headquartered in Detroit, so they sent some extra love to their hometown team. The Detroit Lions collection extends beyond the standard NFL offerings with several special capsules, including the performance-focused Guide Capsule, a tonal Blackout Capsule and pieces made in Detroit. It gives Lions fans a deeper collection to choose from, but also shows what Greyson can do when NFL apparel is treated more like a collection than traditional team merchandise.

Football fandom has never had much trouble finding its way onto the golf course. Players have worn NFL jerseys during the WM Phoenix Open to show their team pride at the famed and raucous par-3 16th hole. In 2016, Harold Varner III pulled on a Cam Newton Carolina Panthers jersey while playing the hole, just two days before his Panthers played in Super Bowl 50.

Earlier this year, Joel Dahmen went as far as donning a full-on Seattle Seahawks helmet while walking down the 16th hole ahead of the Seahawks’ Super Bowl appearance.

And just this past weekend at the Presidents Cup, U.S. Team captain Brandt Snedeker wore a Chicago Bears hat at Medinah as a nod to the hometown crowd.

Greyson’s NFL collection takes that same desire to represent your favorite team and builds it into clothing that is just as at home on the course as it is at the watch party after. “Our NFL collections allow us to celebrate the passion of football while bringing a more elevated, performance-focused perspective to team apparel,” said Charlie Schaefer, Founder and Creative Director of Greyson.

It still won’t solve the problem of a tee time that overlaps with kickoff. But at least now you’ll know what to wear for your Sunday tee time.
